DePaul
The Blue Demons have long been buried at the bottom of the expanded Big East standings, but the early part of this year had offered a bit of hope. DePaul beat likely NCAA team Northern Iowa, and was competitive against good Tennessee and Vanderbilt teams. Unfortunately, the bad Blue Demons decided to show up for a potentially season-crushing 62-57 home loss to American, who now sits at 2-10 and ranked 340th in the latest RPI rankings. American's only other win this season is against MEAC bottom-feeder Howard. A loss this bad will be the proverbial turd in the punch bowl should DePaul post a decent Big East record and be in contention for the NCAA Tournament.
