Its too bad that the CAA will only get 1 team in this year.

I'd say it's about 90 to 95 percent that the CAA will only get 1 bid this year.

The bracketbuster helped the CAA alot. 7-5 overall but more importantly, the Top 6 CAA teams all won their games.

VCU beat UNI and ODU beating Missouri State was big for the CAA, even though it doesn't do much if anything for ODU.

If VCU or Drexel wins out to the CAA Championship, they'll be in the discussion although probably on the outside looking in.

For instance, if Drexel won out they'd be 27-6 with a 18-3 CAA record. Would they get in? A first place finish in the CAA and a 19 game win streak before the CAA Final would put them in the conversation.

A crappy OOC strength of schedule and lack of quality wins would have them on the outside looking in.

I think a lot of it will come down to teams like Creighton, St. Mary's, Murray State etc. winning their conferences auto bids. The bubble is VERY weak this year and there are a lot of teams with cases that normally wouldn't stand a chance. Is it possible if Drexel won out to the CAA Final and gave a team like GMU or VCU or ODU all it could handle in the final on national tv that they could get one of those last 4 play in games? I'd say there is a shot, but again, it's not a great one and it really depends on what some of the teams ahead of them do to finish the season and in their conference tournaments.
